At Rafter Myers, we believe strong communities are built through meaningful support, genuine connections and giving back to the people who need it most. That’s why we are proud to have supported Surf for Kids since 2021, helping the organisation continue its incredible work assisting local children with disabilities and their families across the Sunshine Coast.
Surf for Kids provides vital financial assistance when government funding is unavailable, insufficient or has been exhausted, helping families access essential equipment, therapies and support services that can make a profound difference to their daily lives. Through fundraising events and community partnerships, the organisation continues to have a lasting impact on the lives of many local families.
Earlier this year, members of the Rafter Myers team attended the Surf for Kids Legends Lunch, one of the charity’s flagship fundraising events. The luncheon achieved a record-breaking result, raising an incredible $90,000 to support local children with disabilities while bringing together a passionate community committed to creating positive change.
Later in the year, Rafter Myers proudly continued its support as a Platinum Sponsor of the annual Surf for Kids Charity Surf Comp. The much-loved event brought together local businesses, community members and surf enthusiasts for a day of friendly competition, fundraising and fun, all in support of an important cause. This marked our fifth year participating in the event, and while the fundraising outcomes were the true highlight, our team was particularly stoked to take home the Best Wipeout Award for 2025.

Over the past five years, our involvement with Surf for Kids has been both rewarding and inspiring. We have witnessed first-hand the generosity of the Sunshine Coast community and the powerful impact these fundraising efforts have on local families facing challenging circumstances.
Looking ahead, the Rafter Myers team is excited to once again participate in the upcoming Surf for Kids Charity Surf Comp. As we draw closer to our sixth year of supporting the organisation, we remain committed to helping raise awareness and much-needed funds for local children with disabilities and their families.
